We believe it is necessary to conduct compliance audits in new factories or factories new to customers Code of Conduct (COC), since those factories are the most likely not to have a strong understanding about the requirements of local laws and the COCs, or they are not aware of the importance of those standards. So, it is necessary to ensure the working and living status of workers can meet the minimum requirement, to avoid significant non-compliance risk.

 

For other factories, those which have applied compliance standards for a long time, we believe that traditional compliance audits do not generally provide significant benefit to workers, factories and buyers. Those factories shall set up functional internal systems to identify problems and potential risks, and solve those problems finally by themselves. Through improvement of the internal systems, such as human resource systems and grievance systems, the factory can eventually improve productivity and reduce turnover rates, which will bring not only economic value for factory, but also social value, health & safety value and environmental value as well. We provide Sustainable Assessment and guide factories to set up proper internal systems.
