After introducing the first self-recording audiometer and microprocessor-controlled screening audiometers, the first electro-acoustic ear (OSCAR™) for daily functional checks and the first compact group testing system for military and mobile testing applications, Tremetrics also pioneered the development of hearing/health testing software programs for personal computers and the use of interactive multimedia hearing testing programs.
In 1997, Tremetrics introduced the first multimedia audiometer-software package (Tremetrics 3000 which combines the RA300+ and FOSHM) that gives automatic hearing testing instructions to subjects over their earphones- reducing the time it takes to administer the test. Tremetrics was awarded three patents for this innovative enhancement to hearing testing (#5,811,681; #6,416,482; #6,644,120).
In 2001, Tremetrics introduced the first new microprocessor audiometer of the 21st century for occupational hearing testing: the HT Wizard. The advanced state-of-the-art digital electronics in the HT Wizard addresses system compliance issues never before tackled by audiometers. Its unique features include a color touch-screen, ID Wizard (patent granted) for headphone and OSCAR identification and automatic instructions.
Tremetrics is a part of the worldwide William Demant Holding, and continues to pursue the innovative leadership position it has occupied for decades in occupation hearing conservation products and services.
