Responsibilities:
1. Interpret Asia Region product regulations and product safety standards, and determine applicability to products(China as focus at initial stage).
2. Assure compliance of products with regulations in the Asia Region, including country chemical registration systems and controls.
3. Interface with Global PS team to insure seamless regulatory and safety controls across company.
4. Respond to customer inquiries related to product safety and regulatory compliance..
5. Participate in t risk reviews of new sensitive applications, and recommend appropriate risk management actions.
6. Participate in industry associations, as appropriate, to influence development of product regulations and product safety standards.
7. Participate in product stewardship reviews of new polymers, monomers, additives and raw materials to assure safety and compliance with regulations.
8.Support manufacturing in the region in product safety and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
1.More than 5 years’ experience in chemical industry in roles that involved Chemical Management, Product Safety, Product Stewardship and/or Regulatory Affairs
2. Familiarity with chemical hazard analysis, consequence assessment, risk assessment tools.
3 Fluent in English (speaking, listening and writing)
4 Prior employment with a MNC in a Chemical Management, Product Safety, Product Stewardship and/or Regulatory Affairs role
5 Background in chemistry, EHS or Chemical Management
