Key Responsibilities:
• Guide and coach manufacturing site personal to essential matters related to environment and safety regulatory compliance. Conduct and coach training sessions as necessary;
• Manage and ensure regulatory compliance for purchased raw materials;
• Obtain, maintain and monitor operational permits (air, waste water, storm water, hazardous waste discharge etc.);
• Demonstrate increasing degree of independent working skills; manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
• Support Group Corporate strategic goals generally and specifically actively support and nurture Safety and Environmental Principals;
• Support operations by investigating and implementing projects to improve EHS and regulatory management. Trouble shoot problems related to SHE matters at the manufacturing sites;
• Support Group site operations as necessary to produce external customer chemical usage reports;
• Able to execute project and contribute value with support of supervisor and technical contacts;
• Perform essential tasks and assignments to ensure Group operations maintain and improve compliance for all matters related to safety, environmental, health and regulatory management
Requirements:
• University degree with major in Environmental/Safety/Chemical Engineering or related
• Over 10 years working experience in EHS function in Chemical industry in MNC, with at least 5 years in managerial role, with experience of multi-plant EHS management
• Familiar with ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, HAZOP analysis etc.
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin languages
