 Position: EHS Director
Location: this position will be based in Shanghai

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor programs to ensure that the site meets environmental, health and safety performance goals.
Ensure the reduction in number and severity of employee injuries on the job.
Ensure the reduction in environmental incidents and minimization of public liability.
Manage employee environmental, health and safety training and development of knowledge and awareness in employees regarding these issues.
Maintain compliance with environmental, health & safety regulatory requirements.
To advise and serve line and staff organizations on technical matters relating to environmental, health and safety.
To interface with line and staff organizations and assist in the development and strengthening of employee health, safety and environmental training programs
To assist plant managers in the development of loss control programs and investigation of incidents.
May perform other duties as required

Job Requirements

At least 10 years' experience in Environmental, Health & Safety Management with knowledge and understanding of China laws and regulations relating to each discipline
Solid experience base in environmental and safety programs, engineering, managerial competence
A thorough understanding of regulatory procedures and practices in areas of environmental protection, work-place safety, and occupational health are required
A business background is also necessary to understand the impact of regulations on operating cost.
Familiarity with international standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHS18001, is required
Ability to work under pressure and influence in a fairly matrix organization
Effective communication skills and strong team player
