Job Description
l Implement, manage and develop safety systems across the company in
l Develop, implement and administer safety programs and services in compliance with company standards and government regulations.
l Management consultation and advice on occupational safety issues, counsel on administration of company policies, programs and practices related to the safety of employees & workplace.
l Identifies emerging safety issues at work and takes the lead role in coordinating complex safety based projects at company locations.
l Analyzing, evaluating, modifying and improving existing programs and procedures, development and implementation of new safety programs and tools.
l Works on special projects and provides leadership in developing and implementing occupational safety strategies.
l Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
l Requires a recognized university degree in Safety, Engineering, Safety Risk Management or related specialty.
l Licensed or certified as required by country laws.
l Very knowledgeable in the field of workplace safety and industrial hygiene i.e. safety management system, industrial hygiene principles, Fire & Life Safety Standards and understanding of local & international codes (e.g. NFPA), ergonomics principles etc.
l Possess experience in Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis and development of corrective action plans
l Requires at least 5 years of occupational safety experience.
l Good knowledge on local occupational safety regulations/standards.
l Good written and oral communication skills.
l Competent on safety System and Program Development, Management, Communication, Leadership, Negotiation, and Policy Interpretation.
l High level work ethics and attitude.
l Creativity and professional judgments applied to problems to develop review or modify complex system, programs and independently generate solutions.
l Leadership to the safety team.
