Essential Job Function:
1.Provide strong leadership in ensuring regulatory compliance with Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) laws and regulations, and in identifying, quantifying and minimizing risk for the Wuxi facility.
2.Monitor Company and governmental requirements pertaining to ESH legislation, determine their applicability to the operation and take action to address applicable requirements.
3.Ensure that up-to-date regulatory /compliance legislation is maintained at the facility.
4.Develop, implement and provide ESH training and education programs and deliver ESH orientation to new hires.
5.Establish and maintain ISO14001 system and COMPANY ESHMS in Wuxi facility.
6.Assist COMPANY China ESH with the assigned responsibilities, such as regular internal audit, supplier performance evaluation, etc.
Accountabilities:
1.Recommend actions for complying with applicable existing and anticipated COMPANY ESH Policies, to include Value Center (China & India) ESH Policies, governmental laws and regulations and industry standards.
2.Assure appropriate applications, data, report, records and documentation are collected, prepared, submitted and maintained as required by COMPANY policy and government regulation. Become skilled in the use of COMPANY's on-line ESH metrics collection and analysis tool, MESH.
3.Monitor organizational compliance with COMPANY & government mandated activities.
4.Review plant projects for adequacy in meeting Industrial Hygiene & Environmental criteria.
5.Provide leadership and support to gain commitment and involvement of all plant personnel to ESH programs and measurements, with emphasis on COMPANY's new Safety Accountability program. Attributes include the development of employee-specific safety responsibilities, and risk assessment and program assessment activities through the collection and analysis of Key Performance Indicators.
6.Support the COMPANY Corporation ESH Audit program by preparing the Shenyang facility for the COMPANY audit, assisting management with preparing corrective actions to address audit findings and verifying completion of all actions in accordance with the action plan. Take part in COMPANY Corporation ESH Audits in the Asia/Pacific region, first as an audit team member and then as an audit team leader after sufficient training.
